These classes will introduce you to a range of well known paintings and give you an opportunity to explore a variety of styles, methods and colour palettes in a relaxed and unpressured environment.

Each week you’ll create a painting or mixed media piece of art based on the work of a famous abstract artist. We'll be looking at a range of styles over the weeks and create our own versions of their artworks, from the abstracted landscapes of Peter Lanyon (a key influence of my own work), and the painterly energy of the Abstract Expressionists to the work of Miro, Picasso and Mondrian amongst others.

When: Wednesdays 9.30am to 11.30am

Cost: £17 per session includes all materials

Additional: Food and drink can be purchased from various venues in town

A few points to note:

Places are limited due to the available space. I will have a waitlist in the event of cancellations but please confirm your space as early as possible to avoid missing out.

You can buy delicious coffee from our new neighbour Rebellion which makes things super easy!

Please ensure you park somewhere that covers you for over 2 hours to avoid having to move the car midway through the session.

Joining Information

Please arrive at the gallery in good time for a 9.30am start. We will finish at 11.30am.

I’ll provide paper and canvas boards to work on and a selection of art materials, brushes and paints, but if you have materials you would particularly like to use then please feel free to bring them along.

I would recommend wearing old clothes or bring an apron to protect your clothes.

Cost is £17 payable in advance via the online booking form.

Refunds are not offered in the event of cancellation less than 24 hours prior to the class start time. if you need to cancel outside that 24 hour window you can have the opportunity to transfer to another week, or receive a refund minus the card fees.
